Recipe- Busy Day Crock Pot Shredded Chicken Tacos

This is one of my all time favorite recipes because it can be the solution to many dinner problems.  Hectic day with no time to cook?  Make this chicken taco recipe!  Expecting a few extra guests for dinner tonight?  Just double this chicken taco recipe.  And for days like today, when the temperature will be in the mid 90’s and the last thing you want to do is turn on your oven…make this chicken taco recipe!  It’s simple, it’s easy, and it’s really good!

Busy Day Crock Pot Shredded Chicken Tacos 

1 lb of chicken breasts

1 package of taco seasoning

1 cup of water

Put all ingredients into the crock pot and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.  Remove the chicken from the crock pot and, using two forks, shred the chicken and put in a serving bowl.  I usually add a little bit of the liquid ( maybe 2 or 3 Tablespoons) from the crock pot in the bowl with the shredded chicken and toss it together.  Serve with taco shells (you can use soft shells or hard shells), shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, andwhatever other taco sides you like.  This will serve 4-6 people.
