Summertime Drink recipe
Summer is here, and I wanted to share one of my favorite summertime drink recipes. It’s great for a picnic or to have in your freezer for when guests drop by unexpectedly. You can make a non-alcoholic version by substituting 2 cups of Apricot nectar for the Apricot Brandy.
Apricot Brandy Slush
Ingredients:
5 cups of boiling water
4 Tea bags
1 cup of sugar
1- 12oz can of frozen orange juice
1- 12oz can of frozen lemonade
2 cups of Apricot brandy
1 (2 liter) bottle of 7-up, or other lemon-lime flavored soda
Directions:
Pour 2 cups of the boiling water into a small bowl and steep tea bags in this for 10 minutes. Place remaining 3 cups of boiling water in a large bowl. Stir in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate and the brandy. Remove tea bags and stir tea into mixture. Freeze overnight.
To serve, scoop desired amount into a glass, then fill the rest of the glass with the soda, and stir.
Sounds refreshing and I like that you can make it with or without alcohol.
